Matthew Brown
Master Brown began his martial arts training at the Korean Martial Arts Institute's Newark location, which would become Shoshin Karate Academy, in May of 1997 when he was only 8 years old.
Currently, Master Brown holds a 5th degree black belt in Hapkido and 4th degree masters rank in Tang Soo Do.
He truly enjoys helping students develop their own passion for the martial arts. One of Master Brown's favorite things about teaching is being able to work with the youth students. He enjoys their energy, enthusiasm, and watching them grow up in the martial arts school just as he did.
He graduated from the University of Delaware with a Degree in Exercise Science and spent time working at a YMCA as a Director. However, he realized that his true passion is martial arts with the goal of positively impacting as many members of the community as he can the best way he knows how, martial arts.
