Master Brown really cares. Our son has been going to this dojo for several years now. When a teacher cares, the students do to. Through his guidance my son has been able to improve his skills in Tang Soo Do and continues to be motivated to attend classes still after so many years.
Master Brown and the rest of the instructors at Shoshin are fantastic with kids! Shoshin teaches focus and discipline, all while building your confidence! Even adults will find a program here for them, and will feel like they're part of a family as a well as a karate studio. I would highly recommend anyone interested to give it a try.

My son needed a physical outlet for his energy and took an interest in learning karate. Through the recommendation of a trusted friend whose family had been coming for years, we gave Shoshin a try. The initial trial for kids is very generous, allowing the full time needed to confirm interest and fit. It's now been about two years and I can see major improvements in skills as well as working with others. Master Brown is a fantastic role model and great with handling children and adults respectfully and professionally. I highly recommend giving Shoshin a try!!
My son started when he turned 4, he loves coming to karate class. Master Brown is great at keeping his attention, teaching more than just martial art forms! Class times vary making it really flexible with a busy schedule.
Master Brown continues to do a great job in teaching Tang Soo Do to my son. My son was interested in attending "karate" class, but once he started, he didn't really want to go, but after Master Brown took care to his needs, he continues to be motivated to attend. Master Brown's ability to be very patient and flexible with students gives him so much success. I would recommend anyone who is interested in learning "karate" to join his dojo.

We absolutely love this karate studio! It definitely exceeded our expectations! This is the 4th year for my older son and 3rd year for my younger son. As a mother, I’m really impressed by the value-based teaching, wisdom and professionalism of the instructors. My sons not only learn self-defense skills and karate moves but also develop and improve other important skills like self-control, discipline, persistence, motivation, respect, goals setting/reaching just to mention a few that would be beneficial for all areas of their life. Master Brown and the other instructors at Shoshin Karate Academy have created a truly amazing space for learning, developing, and healing. As well as doing a great job educating me in Tung Soo Do, they’ve helped me to improve my self-esteem and be kinder and more patient to myself. We highly recommend checking out Shoshin Karate Academy! Our 5 year old son started in January and it's been a a place he absolutely loves getting to go multiple times each week. Master Brown is wonderful with kids of all age levels. The students are learning important skills, but also growing a ton in confidence. The flexible scheduling is really nice too!
